The Purpose
The purpose of this project was to create a durable, level, and visually appealing paved area by removing the existing grass and debris, excavating the ground, and installing a strong MOT Type 1 sub-base. The paving slabs were professionally laid on a sharp sand and cement bed with grouted joints to ensure a long-lasting and high-quality finish, followed by a full site clean-up upon completion.

The Challenge
The main challenge of this project is ensuring proper excavation depth, ground preparation, and compaction to achieve a stable foundation that prevents future movement or sinking of the paving. Additional care is required during slab installation and grouting to maintain accurate levels, alignment, drainage, and an overall professional finish.
